About Peanut
Meet Echo.
Echo is a very sweet and sensitive soul who is searching for a calm, understanding forever home. Beneath his shy exterior is a deeply loving dog who forms incredibly strong bonds with his people. Once he learns to trust you, he will become your most loyal shadow.
Echo can find busy or noisy environments overwhelming and is currently feeling quite stressed in his surroundings. He has generalised anxiety, so he needs a patient adopter who understands that building trust will take time. With consistency, reassurance, and a predictable routine, Echo truly begins to blossom and show his gentle nature.
He would need a calm, quiet household where he can be the only dog, as he prefers not to share his space with other pets. This would need to extended to dogs outside the household as Echo isn't comfortable socialising with other dogs. Echo can live with children of secondary school age or older who can respect his need for space and move at his pace. He would also benefit from an owner who is home more often than not, as he feels most secure when he has steady companionship and routine.
Echo doesn't need a busy lifestyle or lots of excitement, what he longs for is a safe space and someone he can rely on. He may not rush up to greet everyone straight away, but once he feels safe, he will sit close by, rest his head gently against you, and give you his whole heart. For the right person, offering patience and kindness, Echo will be an incredibly rewarding and devoted companion.
If you believe you can give Echo the right home, please come to our North Melbourne shelter to meet her today!
