About Rue
*Please note: Rue is currently enjoying foster care and is not located at the shelter full-time. If you are interested in meeting her, please mention this in your enquiry so our foster carer can arrange to bring her in for a meet and greet. Because she is in foster care, same-day enquiries and same-day meet & greets are unfortunately not possible.*
Meet Rue, a happy and playful puppy looking for a loving new family! Rue is the perfect blend of goofiness and affection, with a personality that will bring endless joy to your home. Whether you're a first-time pet owner or an experienced handler, Rue's heartwarming charm is bound to win you over.
Rue is highly trainable and motivated by both food and toys, making him an excellent student for basic training sessions. While he may get jumpy when excited, his focus on people and eagerness to learn make him a wonderful companion. Rue thrives in homes with multiple dogs and kids of all ages and gets along well with cats too. He's ideal for families with full-time workers, as long as there's some time for fun and mental enrichment to keep him entertained.
Friendly and affectionate, Rue will bond closely with you and loves to play with both people and other dogs. But as a puppy, he is still learning all about the world and would greatly benefit from socialization to help him grow into a well-rounded pet. Keep him busy with activities to prevent him from being destructive out of boredom.
Rue is on a quest for a family that can shower him with love, playtime, and guidance. If you're looking for a curious and playful pal who's full of energy, Rue might just be the perfect match for your lifestyle!
