Bud

Hi! My name is Bud. I’m an 11 and a half year old male Kelpie who still has plenty of spring in his step.

I may be technically a senior, but don’t tell my legs that. I love to move, I love to play and I especially love having a job to do. I have shown I’ve got natural sheep mustering skills and I keep a watchful eye on the world around me.

I’m a dear old gent with a playful streak and a bright working brain.

PERFECT HOME
I’m looking for a home that understands working dogs and enjoys an active lifestyle.

I would love a property or secure yard where I can stretch my legs

Daily walks, mental stimulation and small jobs to keep my brain happy

I understand new rules with changes in my environment. I respond well to a calm, but firm voice to help me understand what’s expected.

I could happily live with another dog. I have mixed beautifully with dogs of all ages in and outside the home.

ABOUT
I’m gentle, affectionate and surprisingly playful.

If you dance around and say “come and play, Bud”, I’ll reward you with a play bow and a zoom around the yard. After a bath I do proper zoomies. Sometimes I click and snap my jaws to get your attention if I think you’re taking too long to notice me.

I love brisk walks, car rides and a good lather during bath time. After a fulfilled day I will reward you with the most loving and compassionate cuddles.

I love settling down with a nice suitable treat to chew on.

Health wise, my teeth are worn down, I have a few nicks and scars, and I have an old man growth near my eye. Nothing to be concerned about and they don't stop me enjoying the finer things in life.

I am very well behaved and would fit into your world and rules. I thrive with clear boundaries and consistency.

Most of all, I am a bright working Kelpie who enjoys purpose. I may be a senior gentleman, but I have more spark than some dogs half my age.
