Mintu

Mintu is a 5 year old Chihuahua x Pomeranian but at roughly 10kg he's larger than you'd expect for that breed mix. Mintu is seeking an active and adventurous Forever Family. Unfortunately he is not suited to a nanna's lap, he craves the great outdoors and to be physically and mentally stimulated every day to keep him happy. While he can be reactive towards dogs on walks, it's just a display of over excitement/frustration, as he has proven to get along quite well with other dogs and with the right match may be able to live with one (he'll just need some polishing of his social skills and to learn what's appropriate!)

Mintu is very intelligent and eager to learn. So far in his arsenal is sit, drop, shake, roll over, beg and bed. He is crate trained and toilet trained. He will require a home with secure fencing as he can be a bit cheeky about taking himself off for a solo adventure! He'll need a lot more work around recall and is currently not suitable to off-leash exercise (unless in a secure, contained area). He has a strong prey drive and is not suitable to live with cats or other small animals. He is also on a daily anxiety medication (fluoxetine) which has played a part in improving his reactive tendencies. We recommend he stay on this medication long term but it's unlikely to be required lifelong.
