Hello world! I'm Inara, a beautiful female Dogue de Bordeaux with bright green eyes that tend to stop people in their tracks. I may look mighty, but I'm really just a big softie who loves people, snacks, and affection.

Gentle, thoughtful, and quietly sweet, I like to take things at my own pace. A careful observer who blossoms with trust, I'll do best with gradual, positive introductions to new people, other dogs and unfamiliar environments. Slow and steady wins my heart! Once I feel comfortable, my true personality starts to shine, and it's incredibly rewarding to be part of that journey.

I may be able to live with another well matched dog, and a calm, friendly dog who respects my space could be a great match. I would do wonderfully in a home with secondary school aged children who can respect my space and enjoy spending time with me.

I'm still young at heart and will benefit from puppy socialisation and ongoing training to help me feel my best in the big wide world. I already know "sit", especially if food is involved (hint hint). I can be a bit unsure about being harnessed, but once we're out and about, I walk very nicely on lead and gain confidence as we go.

My ideal home is a loving one that understands I'm a sweet but slightly nervous girl who just needs patience, encouragement, and consistency. In return, I'll give you unwavering affection, soulful gazes, and a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be close to her humans.
