About Ruth
Ruth is a beautiful black and tan Kelpie with a gentle soul who’s looking for a loving home to call her own. She’s a sensitive girl who thrives on calm energy, kindness, and clear guidance.
She is a girl who enjoys pottering about. She can be shy with new people at first, but with slow, positive introductions — especially if a friendly dog is there to reassure her — she soon warms up. During her time in foster care, Ruth has blossomed, showing her affectionate and gentle nature. She gets along wonderfully with her foster siblings and enjoys playing running games.
Ruth has been tested with cats, horses, cattle and sheep shows no interest in herding them — if anything the sheep are more likely to herd her. She is crate-trained and sleeps soundly through the night in his crate.
Ruth's lead manners are amazing, recall is improving and she is still working hard on some of the basics. She happily hops onto the buggy and into his kennel each evening. Ruth is also very happy to spend time with little humans going for walks with them and laying with her head on their lap.
Ruth is seeking a patient home where she’ll receive plenty of love, reassurance, and steady guidance. She would prefer to have another friendly dog companion to help her feel secure and confident. Though if her humans would be around most of the time, she would be equally happy with that.
