About Moose
Meet Moose - the bouncy, affectionate young lad whose equal parts snuggles, silliness, and work‑in‑progress!
Moose is a sweet boy who likely missed out on some early socialisation, so new people and new places can make him a little unsure at first. But once he warms up, he can zoom straight into excitement mode! During these big arousal spikes he may get a bit nippy, so toys are your best friend - tug ropes, squeakers, anything fun to help redirect his busy brain. Sniffy walks and "sniffaris" are also perfect for helping him decompress and focus.
This goofy guy is still learning his manners and needs ongoing support with 4 paws on the floor, impulse control, and his basic cues. He's working hard on his sit, but adopters will be starting fresh with most training - he's a blank slate ready to learn. Moose will thrive in a home where he's allowed indoors, included in all the family happenings, and gently encouraged as he settles into his new routine.
Once he feels safe, Moose becomes a total lovebug - leaning in for pats, nudging your hand, and even trying to curl up in your lap like he's still a tiny puppy. He adores toys, especially tug‑o‑war, and daily enrichment like slow feeders or egg carton puzzles will help keep that clever mind happy and satisfied.
Moose is open to the right family - one ready to guide a young, enthusiastic pup who'll shine with a bit of structure and lots of love. Kids must understand dog body language and be involved in his training.
He's social and playful with other dogs (sometimes a bit boisterous!), so he'll need to meet any doggie friends at adoption.
With patience, training, and plenty of fun, Moose will grow into the affectionate, joyful companion he's meant to be
