Inspector Rex is a distinguished older gentleman with a noble presence and a mind that's always working the case. True to his name, he likes to keep a watchful eye on his surroundings, carefully inspecting his environment and making sure everything is exactly as it should be. Nothing gets past this clever boy!

Rex is looking for a calm, experienced home with secondary school aged children or adults only. Any children will need to meet him at the shelter prior to adoption to ensure everyone is the right fit for this special inspector.

While Rex is entering his senior years, don't let his age fool you - this boy is still incredibly strong at 36kg and will need handlers who are confident and physically capable of managing a large Shepherd breed. Because of this, Rex is seeking a home with previous German Shepherd experience, ideally with people who understand the breed's intelligence, sensitivity, and need for ongoing structure and guidance.

Rex will need to be the only dog in the home so he can dedicate all of his attention to his people and enjoy all the love in return. He takes his role as sole household officer very seriously and will be happiest as your one and only four legged companion.

Rex can sometimes be a little jumpy when excited, so he will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to help polish his manners. Mental enrichment will also be essential for this experienced detective. Puzzle toys, enrichment activities, and interactive games will help keep his brilliant mind engaged and satisfied.
