Clear the runway – a supermodel is approaching.

My name is RooPaul, and I’m ready to sashay my way straight into your heart (and ideally onto your couch). Despite my former career in high-fashion runway walking, I’m actually a calm, gentle soul who much prefers the quiet life away from the cameras.

If I were to describe myself, I’d say I’m a rather distinguished-looking chap. I have a sleek black coat, perfectly accessorised with a crisp white tuxedo and just the right dusting of ‘white glitter’ around my eyes and under my chin. Think of it as my designer five-o’clock shadow.

One of my favourite pastimes is spending quality time with my humans, collecting pats and compliments like the star I am. I wouldn’t describe myself as a stage-five clinger… but I am a greyhound, so you know — pats are basically our love language.

And while you might expect a runway model like me to avoid anything too strenuous, I’m proud to say I’m what the volunteers call “stair capable.” Not every greyhound can say that! I’ve been practicing my skills and getting more confident all the time.

In my ideal home, I’d be the only dog, soaking up all the love and attention for myself. Sometimes other doggos can be a little overwhelming for me, so I’m looking for a peaceful household. I’d be happy living with kids over 5, as long as they’re kind and understand that a gentleman like me appreciates a bit of space and quiet while settling in.

I’ve also been working on my alone-time skills, and I’m doing pretty well. After a quick explore of my surroundings, I’m usually happy to retire to my bed for a well-earned beauty nap. With a bit of routine and patience in a loving home, I’ll only get better as we learn each other’s rhythms.

To make sure everyone is happy, we match each hound with the right family, and we provide lots of support along the way!

All hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm (including heartworm) treated. The adoption fee includes our Adopter Kit containing a martingale collar, leash, muzzle and useful information to help you get your new hound settled in.
