About Cadel *On Trial*
*cadel is currently trialling his new home* meet cadel! he may not know how to ride a bicycle as well as his namesake but he’s still a winner in our eyes!!!!
recently rescued from our local pound where he spent 3 long weeks waiting for an owner who didn’t bother showing up, cadel is now safe with sarg and settling in well into foster care where he’s being shown the ropes by bella another sarg puppy who’s about to head off to her forever home. Cadel is a cruisey, well-behaved pup who is proving to be a terrific all-rounder. He loves pats and cuddles as well as romping around with his carers own dog and he’s terrific with the household cat who thinks she’s a dog anyway! cadel can be a little shy when you first meet him though his confidence is growing every day now that he’s away from the pound – if you really want to see his eyes light up and his tail start wagging then introduce him to some kids as he just adores them and wants to hang out with them!
there is some debate over the breeds that make up this adorable boy as he has the markings of a red heeler though his build is fine and he has quite long legs like a whippet and his coat is also super-short like a whippet’s and he certainly feels the cold like they do as he likes being tucked under blankets when he goes to bed at night. Whatever breeds he is they all work beautifully together to make cadel a very well-balanced young pup! we reckon he’ll be medium in size once he finishes growing. While in care cadel will learn the basics such as “sit” and “down”. He’s already mastered walking on a lead and likes getting out and about exploring the world around him. Cadel doesn’t jump all over you and isn’t licky or in your face, he’s a submissive pup. As he’s only young he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep him stimulated will make happy-go-lucky cadel very happy indeed!
cadel would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a pup.
