Berlioz is a pitch-black bundle of personality with a motor that never turns off, unless he’s fast asleep or zooming around! He’s snuggly, wildly playful and absolutely devoted to his favourite humans :)
He’s the kind of cat who doesn’t just live in your house, he participates in your life. If you’re walking, he’s running. If you’re sitting, he’s climbing. If you’re sleeping, he’ll be dreaming of you (and waiting for you to wake up - which he always senses as if by magic - so he can commence biscuit-making on your chest)!
The second he’s done zooming, Berlioz transforms into the smoochiest cuddle bug you’ve ever met. When you give this gorgeous guy your heart, you're guaranteed full-throttle loyalty and affection in return!

Like all Maggie’s pets, Berlioz is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be with humans who appreciate the energy I bring to every moment! It's important that I receive loads of enrichment in the form of toys and climbing perches, and daily interactive play sessions with you. You'll also have to be OK with a cat who thinks your alarm beeping is cuddle o’clock :)
Oh, and a non-negotiable for me is another playful cat to wrestle, romp and bond with!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: High! Think Olympic-level zoomies - I can go from 0–200 in a microsecond, chase my siblings for hours, then dramatically collapse into a purring puddle.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Chances are I'll do best with older, respectful children who understand cat boundaries. I'm confident and affectionate, but because of my energy levels, very young kids might find me a bit overwhelming (and vice versa).
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: A big YES for cats! I thrive with a wrestling partner and would likely become lonely or bored as a solo cat.
As for dogs, my temperament could make me adaptable to a calm, cat-savvy one, after the appropriate introductions.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
