About Archie
🐾✨ Meet Archie (aka Archie Bear) ✨🐾
Professional Snuggler. Part-Time Zoomie Champion. Full-Time Heart Stealer.
Archie is a 1 year and 4 months old Toy Poodle and weighs a very portable 7kgs of fluff, wiggles and pure devotion
💛 Privately surrendered through no fault of his own, this sweet little Toy Poodle is now searching for a forever home that will adore his cuddly, goofy, slightly dramatic self.
And trust us… he will absolutely adore you right back.
🐶 Training & House Habits
Archie knows to toilet outside and will go when taken out with a cue — clever boy! He’s still working on being 100% consistent (the world is very exciting when you’re young and adorable), so he’ll need routine and gentle guidance to keep improving.
He hasn’t tried a doggy door yet.
He’s not crate trained and, truthfully, would vote against it. Archie is a co-sleeper at heart. His happiest place is curled up beside his human, tucked in warm and safe. If separated overnight, he may voice his disappointment — this boy bonds deeply and finds comfort in closeness.
During the day, he can entertain himself for short periods, but long hours alone aren’t his dream. Archie would love a home where someone is around more often than not — working from home, shift work, retired, or simply present. Eight-plus hours alone every day isn’t the lifestyle for this social little soul.
⚡ Energy & Noise
Archie is delightfully energetic in true Poodle fashion — zoom first, nap later.
He LOVES walks. Not casually enjoys… truly LOVES them. A good 30–60 minute walk (he can easily handle up to 5kms) keeps his brain happy and his body satisfied. Walking is essential for Archie’s wellbeing — and he walks beautifully on lead.
He can be vocal when excited or wanting attention — a little bark, a little cry, a lot of expression. He communicates with enthusiasm and a sparkle in his eye. With consistency and training, this will continue to improve — he’s smart and eager to learn.
The best part? If he’s tucked into bed beside you, he sleeps through the night without a sound.
🐶 Social Butterfly
✔ Kids? Absolutely! Archie adores children. He’s a rolly-polly goofball who thrives on attention and affection.
✔ Other dogs? Yes! He loves dogs and plays with joyful enthusiasm. His bouncy puppy energy may overwhelm very quiet dogs, but his intentions are always pure happiness.
❓ Cats? Not yet tested.
❓ Small animals? Unknown.
He would be happy with a playful canine friend or as an only dog soaking up all the love.
🛋 Daily Life with Archie
Archie’s favourite place is simple: wherever you are.
He enjoys lounging on cool tiles during the day, but at night he will absolutely choose the human bed. He bonds deeply to “his person” and wants to be part of everything — including, yes, your shower. Water? Fun. Steam? Excellent. Personal space? Overrated.
At around 6pm each evening, prepare for the Archie Zoomie Show 🎉 A few happy laps, a burst of energy, and then he’s ready to settle with gentle guidance.
💛 Personality & Quirks
Archie Bear is:
• Goofy
• Deeply affectionate
• Praise-motivated
• Belly-rub obsessed
• Slightly dramatic (in the cutest way)
• Occasionally a lazy bones
He’s still figuring out toys and treats (mysterious biscuits are confusing), but he does love a pig’s ear. His absolute favourite reward? Praise and cuddles.
He is incredibly intelligent and learns quickly. When you teach him, he understands — he just needs someone patient and committed to guiding him.
⚠ Important Note: Archie can be a runner. Doors must be managed carefully and fencing must be secure. He’s quick and thinks dashing through an open door is a brilliant idea. The good news? He will come back when called… after checking the flowers and inspecting that patch of grass he definitely missed ten seconds ago.
✂ Grooming
As a Poodle, Archie will need grooming every 6–8 weeks and regular brushing. The upside? He LOVES being brushed and adores bath time. Spa day is his kind of day.
🏡 The Perfect Home for Archie
Archie would thrive in a home that:
• Commits to daily walks
• Continues his toilet and manners training
• Understands his need for closeness and companionship
• Manages doors carefully and has secure fencing
• Would consider dog school (he would absolutely shine!)
He is still learning. Still growing. Still becoming the very best version of himself.
Archie isn’t just looking for a house.
He’s looking for his person.
Someone who will laugh at his zoomies, welcome his cuddles, guide his learning, and let him curl up beside them at the end of every day.
If you’re ready for 7kgs of love, loyalty, laughter and pure-hearted goofiness…
Archie Bear is ready for you. 🐾💛
