If you're looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be part of your everyday life, Spot could be the perfect match.

Spot is everything people love about Australian Cattle Dogs, wrapped up in a friendly, affectionate and remarkably easy-going package. While he enjoys playing with other dogs, his real passion is people. Given the choice, Spot would much rather be by your side, soaking up pats, cuddles and attention.

His foster carer describes him as an absolute pleasure to have around. He's a well-mannered, sensible boy who settles beautifully into home life and is not the hyperactive dog many people expect when they hear "Cattle Dog". Instead, Spot is a relaxed and affectionate companion who simply enjoys being involved in whatever his people are doing.

Spot has lived with children and loves them. He is house-trained, walks nicely on lead, enjoys travelling in the car and has good recall once he bonds with you. He knows his manners around meal times too, happily sitting and waiting for permission before eating. Like many affectionate dogs, he can jump up when he's excited, particularly when dinner is involved, but his enthusiasm is entirely good-natured.

Spot only barks when there is a reason to do so and is not a nuisance barker. He currently lives across the road from cattle and horses and pays little attention to them. He has not been tested with cats.

Importantly, Spot is secure at home, does not jump fences and is happy to relax indoors with his family. He would suit a wide range of homes, including families, couples, singles, retirees, tradies looking for a loyal off-sider, or even people travelling Australia with a canine companion in a caravan.
