About Alexa & Cindy
Cindy and Alexa are a bonded pair of female Domestic Short Hair cats available for adoption in Waurn Ponds (Greater Geelong, Victoria).
This delightful duo offers the best of both worlds: Cindy provides gentle, independent companionship, while Alexa is a devoted cuddle bug who lives for a warm lap to curl up on. Having grown up together since they were rescued as kittens, they share an easy rhythm and bring a calm, affectionate presence to the home.
They are comfortable living alongside a respectful dog, gentle with children, and thrive in relaxed households where cosy routines are part of everyday life.
A little about Cindy & Alexa:
🐾 Bonded sisters who have grown up together
🐾 Comfortable with large, respectful dogs
🐾 Gentle, predictable temperaments
🐾 Enjoy both independent naps and cosy snuggles
🐾 Experts at bird watching and couch time
Cindy is the quietly confident one. Friendly and cheeky in her own way, she enjoys being close to her people while still keeping a little personal space.
She loves a belly rub and will happily settle beside you on the couch, leaning in for a pat or rubbing her head gently against your hand. During the day she’s often found watching birds through the window or resting in a cosy corner.
One of Cindy’s endearing habits is waiting faithfully outside the bathroom door when someone finishes a shower — ready to greet you as if you’ve been away for hours.
Alexa is the cuddler of the pair. Sensitive, affectionate and full of love, she has a remarkable ability to appear the moment someone sits down.
Whether you’re working from home or settling in for a movie, Alexa is likely to hop onto your lap and make herself comfortable. She enjoys chin scratches, soft pats and the occasional fishy treat while she relaxes close to her people.
While both girls are social with their family, they appreciate a peaceful environment and may briefly retreat when the house is busy with visitors. With a little patience they soon return and greet guests with the same gentle affection they show their guardians.
Their daily rhythm is calm and comforting.
Mornings usually begin with sunny naps while the household gets moving. During the day they drift between resting spots, bird watching and quietly supervising what’s happening around them.
Evenings are their favourite time — both girls emerging for dinner before settling on the couch to provide double the company for the rest of the night.
Because they have spent their whole lives together, they offer each other a sense of security that makes them wonderfully easy companions to live with.
Life with Cindy and Alexa tends to feel calm, warm and companionable — the kind of quiet presence that makes a home feel complete.
If you appreciate the unique bond of a pair and have room in your heart for belly rubs and lap cuddles, Cindy and Alexa would love to meet you.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
