Adoption information
About Cocoa
Cocoa is a petite, gentle girl with the softest soul. She thrives in a calm, safe environment where she can build trust at her own pace. What our photos struggle to capture is her beautiful chocolate coat.
Once she feels secure, she becomes deeply loyal and adores quiet snuggles. She would be the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a sweet, devoted kitty to curl up with in the evenings.
Cocoa came into our care as adolescent mumma with her son Bean (Bio here: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1175076). We would be thrilled if Cocoa and Bean could be adopted as a pair.
Together, Cocoa and Bean offer the best of both worlds: Cocoa’s gentle affection and Bean’s playful spirit. They would suit a family wanting a calm snuggle companion for the adults and a lively little entertainer for the kids, all wrapped into one delightful pair.
Medical notes
Cocoa has mild juvenile gingivitis. At this stage, a dental procedure under general anesthesia is not indicated as the disease process is generally reversible with dental home care (for example teeth brushing and dental food such as Royal Canin dental dry kibble).
Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
