About Honey Bee
🍯 Meet Honey Bee – A Gentle Soul with the Softest Heart 🐝💛
Honey Bee is a 3 year and 3 week old British Bulldog weighing approximately 22kg of pure sweetness.
She has come into care as a retired breeding girl, and the rescue has ensured all of her vet work has been completed. Now, for the first time, Honey Bee has the chance to simply be someone’s beloved companion — and she is ready to soak up every bit of love that comes her way.
🐾 The Good Girl Basics
Honey Bee is beautifully toilet trained and confidently uses a doggy door.
Crates are not her style — she very much prefers the couch (both of them, if available!) or a big human-sized bean bag. At night? The bed, of course. She believes in comfort, and honestly… she deserves it.
🌸 Energy & Nature
Honey Bee is beautifully sedate and quiet. She would happily snooze for hours, curled up near her people. She is not a barker at all — in fact, you’ll rarely hear a peep from her (though that may be because she’s busy napping).
Her energy is gentle and steady. She enjoys a lovely 2km walk each day and is desperate to meet and greet every dog she sees along the way. On lead she can be a little unsure at times and may tuck herself behind your feet for reassurance — it’s quite endearing.
🐶 Social Butterfly (With a Soft Side)
Honey Bee has been socialised with children and loves kids of all ages. Her temperament is calm, tolerant, and kind.
She absolutely adores other dogs — big and small — and lights up when she sees them. She would be happy as an only dog or living with another calm, low-energy companion like herself.
Cats have not been tested, but due to her gentle nature, she may be fine with slow and proper introductions. She is very soft and respectful.
💛 Personality & Quirks
Honey Bee is the definition of a couch potato cuddle bug. Her favourite pastime is snuggling up with her humans and simply being near them. She lives for food and affection — both equally motivating in her world.
She loves to explore the garden at her own pace and is quite content to sunbake outside like a little queen. At dinner time, she performs the sweetest happy dance — a gentle wiggle that will absolutely melt your heart.
She can be shy and timid with unfamiliar people at first, but once she feels safe, her gentle, loving personality shines through. With other dogs, however, she is instantly happy and confident.
🏡 The Home She Deserves
Honey Bee has spent her early life giving — now it’s her turn to receive.
She would thrive in a home where she has companionship, soft places to rest, daily strolls, and humans who understand that sometimes the quiet ones have the biggest hearts.
She is just as happy soaking up attention indoors as she is independently sunbaking outside, watching the world go by.
Honey Bee doesn’t need much.
A couch.
A bed.
A gentle voice.
And someone who will look at her and say, “You’re home now.”
After everything she’s given, it’s her time to simply be loved. 🐝💛

Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.

Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
