About Happy - 2 Year Old Dachshund X
Meet Happy! A gentle, sweet-natured 2.5 y/o Dachshund cross who is learning that the world can be a kind place. He came into care a bit timid, but with a calm and loving approach, his beautiful personality has shined through! Each day he grows more and more confident, and it’s been incredibly special to watch him blossom, living up to his name!
Happy is wonderfully easy to have around the home. He sleeps quietly in his own bed all night, he’s 95% toilet trained and uses a dog door. He doesn’t bark in the house or out and about and loves his daily walks and outings.
One thing that truly lights Happy up is other dogs, big or small! He loves them all. He loves to play with his foster brother, wrestling, chasing and sharing toys. Living with another dog has helped his confidence and he is fine home alone when he has another dog around, making him an ideal addition to a family looking for a play mate for their current dog (of any size!) He hasn’t been tested with cats or birds.
Kids over 10 years old, or dog savvy kids to ensure Happy can have a calm environment to settle into.
Happy will thrive in a home with patience, kindness, and love, while this sweet boy continues to grow and show you just how special he is. Once Happy (quickly) decides you’re his people, he’s so incredibly loving and loyal.
Happy is in foster care in Broadmeadow, NSW. His adoption fee is $800. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for ticks, fleas and worms.
