Timmy - 1 Year Old Shih Tzu X Poodle

Timmy is an almost two-year-old, desexed male Shih Tzu x Poodle. He is the sweetest little white and gold boy who absolutely loves being with his people. He adores a cuddle but is just as happy simply being in your company, snoozing in his bed, or resting by your side. Timmy is playful and curious, enjoying time exploring his backyard surroundings, sunbathing, and of course, a tasty treat.

Timmy can be shy and wary of new people at first and is not yet confident navigating stairs. He is gradually becoming more comfortable with car rides and the world outside his home. He will need support to build confidence around unfamiliar people, places, and experiences, but once he feels safe, he is ready to go.

Timmy’s ideal home will be one where he is welcomed inside and included as part of the family. A household with older children (12 years and above) would suit him best. He would be perfectly happy as an only dog in a home where someone is around most of the time. However, he is learning to live harmoniously with his foster siblings, so another calm, gentle dog would be fine with the right introduction. Timmy is beginning to understand that there is plenty of love and attention to share, and his playful side is starting to shine. He especially loves chasing his foster brother dog around and, at night enjoys either sleeping on the bed with him or settling on the floor beside him.

Timmy has lovely manners, politely waiting his turn for food and treats. He is unbothered by the resident cat but has not yet been tested with pocket pets (such as rabbits or chickens).

Timmy comes when called and will need a patient family to support him in learning other new tricks, such as sit and stay. He is a smart boy and will no doubt pick things up quickly. With a calm, consistent approach, Timmy will thrive. He loves company and is such an easy companion. He is a little lamb in both temperament and appearance.

Timmy’s adoption fee is $800. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, registered, treated for fleas, ticks and worms. He is in foster care in Cardiff, NSW, and is available for adoption in NSW and ACT.
