About Benson
Meet Benson – the polite little gentleman 🖤
Benson, son of Jack, is a gorgeous boy with a calm and thoughtful nature. While his siblings bustle around, Benson is often the one sitting nearby watching and learning, taking it all in before joining the fun.
His most adorable trait? The tiny little squeaks and grumbles he makes while patiently waiting for breakfast and dinner. Benson doesn’t push or shove… he politely waits his turn and chats to you about how excited he is for his meal!
He also loves water play and happily splashes around in the large water trough or relaxes in the shell pool after a play session.
In foster care he enjoys playing with his brothers and sister, following his dad around the paddock and building confidence each day. He has a lovely balanced temperament, playful when it’s time for games and gentle when it’s time for affection.
Benson would suit a home wanting a sweet, steady companion who will grow into a loyal and easy-going family member.

We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long and is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Benson is currently available for adoption in NSW, ACT, Queensland and Victoria. If you're interested in making him a cherished member of your family, you'll need to drive with your loved ones to meet him. Should he, for any reason, not be the perfect fit for your family, you would be responsible for either bringing him back to Sydney or helping us rehome him from your home.

Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. Benson will be desexed when age appropriate and on veterinarian advice.

Adoption details
To apply for a dog you can either click on the Enquire about the dog and we will send you an application form, or you can go to our website and complete an online form.

We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
