Meet our little warrior princess, Yardstick 🐾💕

At 6 years young, Yardstick is our three legged wonder at Wat Djerring Animal Facility and she wears her tripod status like a badge of honour. She arrived underweight and looking a little weathered by life, but the very first thing she did was bounce straight out of her pen to deliver cuddles to anyone within arm's reach. Priorities? Affection. Always affection.

Missing a limb has not slowed this girl down one bit. Yardstick zooms, plays, explores and then reports back for mandatory smooch sessions. She is deeply devoted to her people and will happily trail you from room to room like a tiny, purring shadow. If you forget to rest, she will remind you. If you sit down, she will occupy your lap. Productivity may decline. Heart happiness will skyrocket. 💗

Thanks to our amazing vet team, she is now feeling fabulous and ready for her forever home. At six, she has perfected the balance of playful sparkle and professional level lounging. When she is awake, expect nose boops, kisses and full body cuddles. When she is asleep, expect her to already be in your lap. She believes in efficiency.

Yardstick did arrive underweight, so her new family will need to stay on top of her meal plan and keep her thriving. She is strictly indoor only, where she can stay safe and continue living her best tripod life. She is currently sharing space with other cats and is comfortable around friendly felines, so she could happily join a home with a gentle cat sibling. 🐱
