About Chase
Chase is a stunning little Kelpie boy ,a breed known for its intelligence and love of life. With his striking appearance and warm, inviting personality, Chase is truly a dog with a big heart. At just 17 kilos ad a smaller size medium boy with a love of humans this sweet boy is a perfect family member for any working dog lover.
He has an innate love for people and is incredibly affectionate, making him an ideal companion for anyone seeking a loyal and loving companion
Not only does he adore human interaction, but he is also very social with other dogs, which makes him an all-around perfect pooch. Chase seems to be particular;rty drawn to children and adores snuggling up with them for affection
Chase is eager to find a new home where he can share his love and enthusiasm for life with a family that appreciates his vibrant spirit.
When it comes to his favorite activities, Chase is all about people. He absolutely thrives on human attention, and nothing makes him happier than receiving cuddles, pats, and lots of love.
His affection for people is matched by his enthusiasm for food, which is a great asset when it comes to training.
His food-driven nature makes training sessions both enjoyable and effective, allowing him to learn new commands and tricks with ease.
Chase is an active dog who loves playtime, especially when it involves his human companions.
Chaseâs interactions with other animals are positive. He is curious about other dogs and enjoys meeting new canine friends. He is what we call â neutral l" as he is happy and polite in greeting but shows no deire to play or have a game, more polite hello and go about his own business .
Currently, Chase is living with a female dog, and they get along well, which suggests that he could thrive in a home with another dog, provided they are compatible.
In terms of human interaction, Chase is incredibly people-focused. He thrives on connection and loves being around his family. A home where he can receive plenty of interaction, engagement, and inclusion in daily life would be ideal for him. He is the kind of dog that wants to be involved in everything his family does, and he would be happiest in a home where he is considered a true member of the family.
Chase is living with a primary school and teenage kids
Chase is still in the process of learning obedience and improving his exercise routine. He is working on his recall and continuing his toilet training.
During walks, he may start off a bit excited, but he quickly settles down and walks beautifully on the lead.
His food motivation makes training a positive and rewarding experience, and he responds well to consistency and guidance.
Chase is not easily bothered by cars or bikes passing by.
Regarding his independence, Chase seems to have been an outdoor dog for most of his life, so he is comfortable being outside during the day.
He is relaxed and calm, finding ways to entertain himself by either sleeping or playing. Inside the home , Chase is still learning his manners. When he comes inside, he is kept on a lead as he learns the rules of indoor living. He has a tendency to mark his territory, but this behavior is expected to decrease as he becomes more comfortable in his new home. He also has a habit of jumping on furniture, so he is being taught to stay on his mat.
With consistent training, he should quickly learn the rules of the house.
Chaseâs love for food is a significant advantage when it comes to training. He is currently being fed high-quality kibble and has a particular fondness for sardines, which are helping to improve the condition of his coat.
Chase is still working on his indoor toilet training. He is learning and will benefit from a routine, patience, and positive reinforcement to help him master this skill.
Chase seems to have no prey drive as he can happily walk past wild rabbits on his walk and shows no interest.
At night, Chase sleeps outside and settles beautifully, remaining calm and quiet throughout the night.
When it comes to car travel, Chase is well-behaved. He is secured with a seat belt during car rides and travels well, making him a great companion for road trips and adventures.
The ideal home for Chase would be one with experience in handling working dogs, as he would benefit from continued training and mental stimulation. He loves people and would do well in a family with dog-savvy children. While he would enjoy having a female dog companion, it is not essential, as he can be independent. To maintain his coat and overall condition, Chase will require a diet of high-quality food. Additionally, he would thrive in a home with a yard large enough for him to run and play, as small units would not provide the space he needs to expend his energy.
Chase is fine to be left at home alone while his family are out and about. We are seeking a home with a good size yard ,secure fencing and a love of the outdoors. TO APPLY FOR HIS ADOPTION YOU MUST COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION WE HAVE PROVIDED RIGHT HERE
