About Blue
🐾 Meet Blue 🐾
Blue is the ultimate shadow companion. His happiest place in the world is right beside his human — or even better, curled up in your lap soaking up as many pats as you’re willing to give. He’ll gently follow you from room to room, simply wanting to be close and part of whatever you’re doing.
While he enjoys the occasional burst of energy — especially if you offer a toy or a rope for a game of tug — Blue is a gentle soul at heart. Affection and companionship are truly what make him thrive.
🏡 My Ideal Home
Blue absolutely adores being around his humans and will need ongoing support to build confidence being alone, as he does experience some separation anxiety. For this reason, he would be best suited to a home where someone is around most of the time.
A retired couple, or someone who works from home full-time, would be ideal. With patience, guidance and gradual training, Blue will continue to grow in confidence — he just needs a family committed to helping him feel safe and secure.
⚡ My Energy Level
Blue enjoys his daily 3km walk and has no breathing concerns holding him back. As with all flat-faced breeds, care should be taken to avoid walking on very hot days or during the middle of the day. It’s also important to allow him a little time to regulate his breathing after exercise before offering water.
He has the occasional adorable burst of energy, hopping and skipping about in the sweetest way. Most of the time, however, Blue is happiest curled up on a lap or tucked into a cosy bed, catching up on his beauty sleep.
👶 My Suitability to Children
Blue’s foster home does not have children, so we can’t say for certain how he would respond. He can become excited when greeting adults and may jump up with his front paws to say hello. With dog-savvy, respectful children who understand this behaviour, he is likely to do well.
🐶🐱 My Suitability to Other Pets
Blue is currently living harmoniously with his Frenchie foster brother and sister. They coexist beautifully — sharing space, mealtimes and routines with no signs of conflict or resource guarding.
He tends to prefer observing their play rather than joining in, choosing instead to stay close to his human.
Blue may have a little too much dog energy for a home with a resident cat.
🩺 Medical Notes
Blue suffers from cystine bladder stones, which means he requires a specialised diet to help prevent recurrence.
He has undergone a scrotal urethrostomy, a surgical procedure performed for male dogs with recurrent cystine stone obstructions. This procedure creates a permanent opening in the urethra to allow small stones to pass more easily and reduce the risk of life-threatening blockages.
Blue’s new family will need to understand his condition and be committed to providing a little extra care and monitoring to ensure he remains a healthy, happy boy. With the right management and routine veterinary oversight, dogs with this condition can continue to live full and comfortable lives.
💛 If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will be completely devoted to you, Blue may just be your perfect match.
