About Alfie - 8 Week Old Cattle Dog X Staffy
Meet Alfie, 8-week-old Cattle x Staffy bundle of joy 💙
This brave and adventurous little man is always the first to explore something new, confidently leading the way with his wagging tail and curious nose. He loves a big day filled with play, learning, and discovering the world around him — but when the sun goes down, Alfie is all about the cuddles. After burning off his puppy energy, he’s happiest curled up beside you, soaking up affection and enjoying some gentle play before drifting off to sleep.
Alfie is the perfect mix of bold explorer and sweet snuggle bug, ready to bring loyalty, love, and plenty of personality into his forever home.
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Alfie is well socialised with other dogs. It would be a big plus if you have a friendly and patient adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Alfie. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there should be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
He needs to be welcomed inside when people are home, and to sleep inside. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
His adoption fee is $800 which includes desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms and is microchipped.
Alfie is in foster care in Stockton, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He’ll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he’s 5 to 6 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
