Teddy is such a sweet, gentle boy who has come such a long way in learning about humans, and more importantly, learning that he can trust them.

While he’s still quite wary of new people, once Teddy feels safe, his soft and playful personality starts to shine. He will need patience, understanding, and a calm home willing to let him adjust at his own pace. He’s not a “jump in your lap on day one” kind of dog, he’s the kind who bonds deeply and meaningfully once you’ve earned his trust.

💛 About Teddy

Dog social: Absolutely loves other dogs! Wrestling, playing, running; the more playful, the better.

Needs a buddy: Teddy must go to a home with another confident, playful dog to help guide him and build his confidence.

Beach lover: He adores the beach and swimming. He’s still on a long line for safety, but happily sticks close to his people and doggy friends.

Training: Fully house trained and sleeps beautifully on his bed in the bedroom.

Name recognition: Knows his name… although he does occasionally choose to ignore you 😉

Toys: Loves his toys, and the squeakier they are, the better!

🏡 Teddy’s Ideal Home

Teddy will thrive in a calm, patient home that understands shy dogs and is willing to let him settle in at his own speed. He needs another confident dog to show him the ropes and help him continue building trust in the world around him.

Although he would be fine living with children, we believe Teddy would prefer older kids, as loud noises and busy energy will still startle him. A quieter household will help him feel safe and secure as he continues to build his confidence.

Teddy can get a little car sick at times, he tends to drool quite a bit on trips, so shorter drives or a little extra preparation will help set him up for success.

He’s already proven how much he can grow with the right support. With time and love, Teddy will continue blossoming into the most loyal and affectionate companion.
