Meet Dakota, a sweet and affectionate girl with a heart full of love. She enjoys playing and spending time with her favorite people. Dakota would do great with a family and older kids, as she’s wonderful with children.

This sweet girl once had a single owner who, after facing homelessness and living in a car, had to make the tough decision to give her up. Since then, she’s been embraced by a loving foster carer who has trained and cared for her, and now she’s eagerly waiting to meet her forever family.

Dakota does well around other dogs without reacting, but she can be a bit dominant and occasionally a bully. She’d be happiest in a single-dog home where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself.

Dakota is a people-pleaser, completely house-trained, and making great strides with her crate training. She learns quickly and is well on her way to being the perfect companion and adventure partner. Traveling comes naturally to her—she adores car rides and is always ready to jump in and take off.
