About Lemon
A Little Lemon With a Whole Lot of Love to Give!
Lemon is a gentle, friendly little soul whose whole personality softens the moment she feels safe. While the shelter environment has been overwhelming for her, she paces, pants, and can be quite vocal when stressed, her true nature shines through in quieter moments. She leans into touch, enjoys being picked up, and seeks connection with the people she trusts. With patience and reassurance, she blossoms into an affectionate companion who just wants to feel secure.
In a home, Lemon will need someone who can help her settle into a calmer rhythm. She’s mostly house trained, a great eater, and responds well to gentle handling, but she may experience separation anxiety as she adjusts. A household where someone is home most of the time would suit her beautifully, giving her the consistency she needs to build confidence. She can be enthusiastic on the lead and may pull, so ongoing positive‑reinforcement training will help her feel more grounded on walks.
Lemon enjoys the company of other dogs who share her easygoing energy. She has happily pottered around with friendly, calm dogs at the shelter and could be a lovely match for a small, steady companion who isn’t too young or boisterous. Having another dog in the home may even help her feel more secure, though she would also thrive as the only dog with dedicated human companionship.
With her sweet nature and desire to bond, Lemon is ready for a home that can offer patience, routine, and plenty of gentle reassurance. She will reward her people with loyalty, warmth, and the quiet joy of watching a worried little dog learn to relax and trust again. Lemon is waiting for someone who sees not just her anxiety, but the loving heart behind it, and who’s ready to help her shine. Apply Now for the opportunity to meet Lemon. 🐾
