About Maximus - 9 Month Old German Shepherd X
Meet Maximus - Cute, cuddly and so VERY handsome!
Maximus is a gentle giant who is going to make someone an outstanding family pet. At 8 months, he still has plenty of playful puppy attitude, but fortunately he doesn’t chew things around the house!
Max sleeps soundly through the night on the floor of the carer's bedroom. He would love to share the bed, but he quickly learned that his place is next to it, not on it. He is 100% toilet trained! He uses a doggy door to take himself outside to the toilet.
He is a loyal companion and generally stays close to his humans. He’s extremely affectionate and loves a cuddle. He is a strong swimmer.
He needs about 20 minutes of exercise for him to burn off excess energy. He can be a couch potato at other times. Max walks well on his lead. He can be reactive to another dog on his lead that he wants to play with. This will settle with time and further training. He will sit and wait for his harness to be put on without being told.
The best home for Max will be where someone is home most of the time, and where he has a canine companion. Possibly an older dog would suit, so it can teach him proper doggie manners. He’ll need daily exercise, but he doesn’t need a lot. A big yard for chasing ball or zoomies, or a walk twice a day should suffice. Preferably someone with experience and knowledge of larger breeds.
Keenly intelligent, Max loves to sit at the window or fence and watch the world. He doesn’t bark and has become very accustomed and non-reactive to the sounds of suburbia like people, bikes, cars etc. He’s loyal, devoted and will melt your heart.
