About Clay
Meet Clay, a gentle senior dog with a heart full of love just waiting to be shared.
Though he hasn't enjoyed the typical life of a pet, his sweet nature shines through, and he's eager to find a cozy and understanding new family.
Clay has spent much of his life as a stud dog and is ready to leave that chapter behind. While he may be a little anxious in new environments, his affectionate personality quickly surfaces, especially around people. He enjoys being cuddled and carried in your arms, and there's nothing he loves more than curling up on the couch with a human companion by his side.
Clay thrives best either as the only dog or alongside a gentle female, as he prefers calmer interactions. A small courtyard is sufficient to meet his needs, as he enjoys taking leisurely strolls or a small run in the backyard, but equally cherishes his time chilling indoors with his humans. Clay is looking exclusively for a home where he can savor his golden years with peace and love.
Considering his age, Clay will need consistent care for his health and comfort. His fur, which is growing back, requires regular brushing and professional grooming every five to six weeks. Currently a little underweight, he is making steady progress towards a healthier weight with a nutritious diet that includes Royal Canin kibbles, along with tempting treats like beef mince, boiled chicken mixed with liver and hearts, and raw chicken necks.
Clay would make a wonderful companion for a retired couple willing to provide him the time, patience, and consistent care he needs to adjust into his new home.
