“Beautiful Betty is a sweet soul who just wants to do the right thing. 😇 She’s always trying her best to please, and thrives on gentle, predictable handling from people she trusts 💘
Betty can be nervous when meeting new people. But once she trusts you, her character comes out to show her funny side. 🙃
🫘 Betty is full of beans once settled, then enjoys a snuggle next to you, curled up with her chin resting on your leg 😴
She can be a bit jumpy when excited (usually when you walk through the door) but quickly calms down and becomes your inquisitive shadow, happily following you around the house 🏡
🐾 While walks on the lead in new areas can be nerve wrecking, reassurance from her people makes things easier, and once the route is known, Betty LOVES going for sniffari’s 🐕
Betty likes other dogs, especially if they match her playful energy! But is also able to respect calm older dogs peace as well. She is great at sharing toys and is submissive when wrestling 🐶
Getting into the car can be scary, but with trusted people picking her up and placing her in the ‘safe basket’ Betty sits calmly and quietly on the journey 🚙
Betty is not aggressive whatsoever, however her nervous nature requires calm and slow initial interactions. This means kids old enough to understand are best suited in her environment.”

🐥 While under the care of Willow Tree Sanctuary, our dogs are desexed (at the right age) microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested (6 months+), treated monthly for parasites and have any other necessary vet treatment required.
Note: We recommend all pups and their adopters attend puppy and obedience training to give them the opportunity to become the best versions of themselves 🙌

Adoption details
Steps to finding you forever friend:
1. Complete adoption application via our website for be reviewed for suitability.
2. If approved, contact will be made to arrange for a meet and greet.
3. Invoice and adoption email to applicant.
4. Meet & greet takes place.
5. If successful, vet history & waiver document, and contract is sent to applicant.
6. Applicant is required to view the Adoption Contract online and sign.
7. Applicant is required to pay the full adoption fee.
8. Once steps 1-7 have been completed, the animal can commence trial.
9. After trial is complete, confirmation email and microchip form will be sent to the applicant.
