Tux is a 9-year-young pug/fox terrier mix with the sweetest little "grandpa" spirit and a heart full of love. This charming gentleman may have a few silver whiskers, but he's still got plenty of affection (and smooches!) to share.

Tux can take a little time to warm up - he likes to make sure his people are trustworthy - but once he feels safe, he becomes incredibly loving and devoted. He's a lean-in-for-cuddles, melt-into-your-lap, soft-kisses kind of guy. The bond he forms with his person is truly special.

He would likely thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not, as he enjoys companionship and feels most secure with his people nearby. Tux could happily be your one-and-only, but he's also able to live with a small, friendly, chill dog who respects his space. He can even share his home with cats!

Tux does have some handling sensitivities, so he's looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will continue to work with him using positive reinforcement and gentle guidance. Because of this, a calm home without young children would be ideal. In the right environment, with kindness and consistency, Tux truly blossoms into the sweetest little companion.
