My name is Pumpkin, I’ve had a pretty rough start but I’m ready to be a spoilt house kitty.
I’m approximately 2 years old, I lived on the streets my whole life and had some litters in the wilderness, but the last time I got pregnant I got really sick. A nice lady helped me and I went to the vet at Christmas and had emergency surgery but I lost all my babies.
I’ve spent a few months in a foster home recovering and getting ready for my next chapter.
I do like to hide a lot but I also love to lounge in the sun when I feel safe and I LOVE my food, that’s the way to my heart. Sometimes I don’t even chew it! I have excellent litter tray manners and I’m learning to play.
My hobbies include late night zoomies with my mouse toy, and watching cat tv on YouTube - but better make sure you have a screen protector on because sometimes I get carried away trying to smack the birdies.
Humans were really scary but I let my foster mum pat me if she’s gentle about it, I’ve become quite the smoocher. She sometimes says I’m “dramatic” and “conflicted” but I only swear at her if she doesn’t do it right or if she pats me when I didn’t ask, I want everything on my terms. If I ask you for pats though you better not stop!
I’m ready to have a home of my own, I’m still learning to be a house cat so I need a little bit of patience and a little bit of quiet, young children and dogs might be a bit much for me.
I might be ok with another gentle cat, but I’m also quite happy on my own if I have a human to hang out with in the evenings. My foster mum works full time and that doesn’t bother me at all as long as she comes to see me when she’s back and hears my squeaky voice at the door.
If you think you might be my new best friend have your people call my people. You can come and meet me in Ferntree Gully, or Lynbrook by prior arrangement.
