It is Kitten season once AGAIN and this next story is sadly a common occurrence this time of year.

Thankfully this story has a happy ending but many don't.

A Stray cat had snuck under a house and had given birth to her 5 babies in December last year.

Thankfully the retired home owners rung CARMAR, and between us we were able to trap them all and they are now safe and doing very well in CARMAR care.

The kittens were born early in December 2025.

Her 5 tiny little babies were only 4 or 5 weeks old when we took them into care and not in the healthiest of states, but with lots of love and care they are all ready for their new furrever homes, including mumma!

During their recuperation and care in CARMAR they have all been named by their furabulous Sponsors.

Our Vet says Bella is 2yo and after having multiple litters of kittens she is now ready to be her own care taker and live her life free of unwanted attention from stray tomcats or fighting with roaming strays.
Bella is still a very timid cat and after 2 years of living as a stray she would be best suited to a farm lifestyle working for her keep as a valued working cat.We would be happy to adopt Mumma Bella and her timid kitten Celtic together as a bonded pair for a fee of a donation to CARMAR.

📍 Currently fostered in Echuca, which is 3 hours North of Melbourne.

All CARMAR cats & canines are fostered in private homes,in the Campaspe shire area which is 3 hours North of Melbourne.
They are introduced to the comings and goings, noises, smells and environments of a normal household. They are all temperament tested, recieve basic training, are desexed, michrochipped,vaccinated,wormed, flea free.
