About Jed, the greyhound
If you are interested in Jed, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/4YdfUixpmWdJ4StT9
Jed is a gentle, affectionate, and clever boy who is ready to find his forever family. People‑oriented, and a little bit goofy, he settles easily into household routines and loves finding a cosy spot for snuggles.
He sleeps soundly through the night and can hold his toileting well, though he does need a toilet break, first thing in the morning. After that, he is content to settle again until you are ready to start the day. Jed is suited to both apartments and houses, and while he can manage stairs, fewer maybe kinder on his long legs over time.
Jed is lovely on walks. He may pull briefly if he starts off excited, but if he leaves the house calmly, he settles beautifully. He handles busy environments with confidence, enjoys café visits, and absolutely loves car rides.
He gets along well with greyhounds and other mid‑to‑large dogs and has been polite with small dogs in limited interactions. Jed would be happy as an only dog or with another calm canine companion.
Jed hasn’t lived with children, but his naturally gentle temperament suggests he would be best suited to a home with older kids. Jed shows no signs of sleep startle and is comfortable with people near his food. He is food‑motivated, which makes training enjoyable and effective with clear boundaries in place.
Jed would suit both new and experienced dog owners, anyone who can provide loving consistency and maintain simple household rules. Keeping him out of the kitchen, asking him to settle during mealtimes, and helping him start walks calmly all support him beautifully.
Smart, eager to please, wonderfully goofy, and gentle, Jed is a beautiful companion. If you’re looking for a gentle-hearted companion who loves cuddles and has so much affection to give, Jed may be the perfect match.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
