About Orlando
Meet Orlando!
At 4 years old, this handsome boy has found himself back on the hunt for a new home after being surrendered. While he's a little unsure about his current surroundings, you can already see his sunny personality shining through.
Orlando is a sweet, affectionate guy who genuinely likes people. He enjoys attention and isn't shy about soaking it up once he feels safe. A few gentle pats and some calm reassurance are all it takes for that soft, lovely side to shine - the one that reminds you he's just a big sweetheart finding his feet again.
Orlando is an active cat who thrives on interaction and engagement. He loves to explore, chase toys, and be involved in whatever's happening around him. He'll need daily social time and enrichment to keep his clever brain busy and his body moving. Wand toys, puzzle feeders, climbing spaces - he's ready for it all!
Because Orlando can become overstimulated at times, he'll do best in a home that understands cat body language and can offer calm, predictable interactions. He's best suited to an adult home or one with older, cat-savvy children. Young children are not recommended for this big boy, as he prefers gentle handling and respectful play.
Right now, the shelter environment has him feeling a little unsettled, and that's understandable. It's a big change for a cat who enjoys his comforts. But underneath that slight worry is a vibrant, loving cat who truly enjoys life and is ready to leap back into it with the right person.
If you're looking for a fun, affectionate companion with a great name and an even bigger personality, Orlando is ready to trot into your home and make himself part of the family.
Orlando is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Orlando - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
