About Millie
Hortensia is a sweet, super wiggly girl who is ready to find a committed family to guide her through the exciting stages of growing up. She loves people and happily showers her handlers with affection, though she's still learning her manners and can be a little mouthy when excited-she responds well to gentle feedback and redirection. Hortensia is food motivated, enjoys carrying her toys around proudly, and is just beginning to learn lead skills. She will benefit from adopters who understand the importance of ongoing training, socialisation, and enrichment as she matures. She's keen to engage with other dogs and would thrive with positive, well-managed introductions to help build confidence. Hortensia will need support with toilet training, crate training, calm behaviours, and appropriate exercise as she grows, along with a secure yard and consistent routines. She's looking for patient, dedicated adopters ready to invest in her development and help her blossom into a confident, well-mannered companion.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
