At almost 10 years old, Sooty has found himself starting over. Surrendered to the Lost Dogs' Home at this stage of his life, this quiet senior boy is understandably unsure of the world around him. The shelter is loud and unfamiliar, and Sooty is feeling small in a place that doesn't yet feel safe.

By nature, Sooty is a gentle, quiet soul. In his previous home he was sweet, calm, and never aggressive, just a soft companion who asked for very little. Right now in care he may seem scared or withdrawn, but that isn't who he truly is. It's simply a sensitive older boy trying to adjust after losing everything he knew.

Sooty would thrive in a calm, patient home where he can simply slot in and be cherished. He doesn't need chaos or constant activity, he needs a warm bed, a steady routine, and someone who will treat him like the king he deserves to be for the rest of his life.

There is something incredibly special about giving a senior, scared cat a second chance. The gratitude of an older animal who realises they are safe again is quiet but profound. Senior cats bring a gentle companionship that can't be taught - they are past the mischief of kittenhood and simply want comfort, security, and love.
