About Loki
Hi! I'm Loki and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR LOKI
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM

NOTE: You are unable to meet Loki until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Loki in person.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I need to be an only dog in the home as I require further socialisation, I can be defensive when meeting other dogs so I will need training to help me with this.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who'll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
• No children under 12 years, I am too timid in new situations.
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• Being an active breed I have a lot of energy so an active family is a must!
• SOCIALISATION is as important for me as it appears I've led a very sheltered life and can be a bit nervous/shy in new situations. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy
• Cats or small animals as I may find them fun to chase
• Other dogs
My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• I can sit
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans once I get to know you.
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Exuberant & full of beans
• I love toys especially my ball, playing fetch and tug rope
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I'm learning to walk on the lead at the shelter and am getting much better. I'm still a bit slow and fearful but with lots of practice I should soon look forward to a daily stroll around the neighbourhood
• I seem to be nervous of other dogs, so taking me place where I'll interact with dogs in a controlled environment will help me learn to not be scared of them anymore.
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue on with my socialization
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
