About Arlo STA015222 & Mae STA015221
Arlo and Mae are four-year-old brother and sister who share an incredibly close bond. They truly adore one another and rely on each other for comfort and reassurance. Their connection is beautiful to see — where one goes, the other follows.
Both are very shy and naturally nervous, especially in new environments or around unfamiliar people. Arlo is the more confident of the two and gently takes the lead, helping his sister feel safe. Mae is much more hesitant and looks to Arlo for protection and guidance, drawing strength from his steady presence.
Because of their sensitive natures, Arlo and Mae need a very quiet home without children or dogs. A calm, predictable environment is essential for them to feel secure. They are looking for a special family who understands that trust takes time and that patience is everything.
They will need personal space, gentle routines and the freedom to settle in at their own pace. With time, love and kindness, their confidence will slowly grow, and the reward of earning their trust will be deeply meaningful.
Arlo and Mae must be adopted together — their bond is their greatest comfort. If you have a peaceful home and a compassionate heart, this sweet pair would love the chance to find safety and forever with you. 💛

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
