Layla

Layla is a beautiful, petite black cat with the sweetest soul. She is a true little lady who deserves so much more than the cards she’s been dealt.

She has spent her life as a semi‑owned cat in a backyard alongside six other cats.
But Layla is not your typical backyard girl. She is polite, affectionate, and genuinely enjoys human company. She leans in for pats, melts into cuddles, and greets visitors with quiet friendliness.

The woman who has been caring for Layla and her siblings is 93 years old and living with dementia, so Layla hasn’t had the stability or attention she truly needs. One of our wonderful volunteers visits daily to feed her and spend time with her, and Layla absolutely lights up with that bit of love and routine.

We know in our hearts that Layla would thrive as a pampered indoor pet — the kind of cat who blossoms when she finally has her own safe, calm home and a human to adore.
