About Charlie - 8 Week Old Cattle Dog X
Meet Charlie – Calm, Confident & Your Future Shadow 🐾
Charlie is an 8-week-old Cattle Dog mix with a steady nature and a heart of gold. Weighing 5.9kg, he’s a solid little boy who carries himself with quiet confidence and calm curiosity.
Currently in foster care with his brother Snoopy (also available for adoption), Charlie is the brave big brother of the pair. He’s confident, steady, and often the one leading the way. While Snoopy may be the cheeky one, Charlie is his protector — offering reassurance and support when things feel a little overwhelming.
Charlie is the kind of puppy who will happily follow you around like your little shadow. He loves being near his people and is already showing signs of being a loyal, devoted companion. Despite his working-breed mix, he has a beautifully calm temperament and enjoys plenty of naps in between play sessions. He’s sweet, affectionate, and happiest when he’s relaxing close to his humans.
About Charlie
- Expected to grow to medium size
- Confident and brave
- Calm nature with a sweet personality
- Loves to nap and relax
- Affectionate and people-focused
- Typical puppy routine — play, eat, sleep, repeat
While Charlie is currently quite relaxed, his Cattle Dog heritage means he is likely to grow into an intelligent, active dog who will enjoy daily walks, mental stimulation, and adventures with his family. Ongoing puppy school and consistent training will help him channel his smarts and confidence into becoming a well-rounded adult dog.
Charlie Would Thrive In a Home That Offers:
- A committed family with time for a growing puppy
- Ongoing training and puppy school
- Daily walks and enrichment
- A secure yard for play and exploration
- Another friendly dog (not essential, but beneficial) or regular social opportunities
- Full indoor access for companionship and cuddles
- Children aged 8+ who understand how to interact with puppies
Charlie is a beautifully balanced little pup — confident yet gentle, calm yet playful.
With love, structure, and guidance, he will grow into a loyal, steady, and devoted best friend.
If you’re looking for a brave, sweet-natured puppy who will stick by your side through life’s adventures (and naps), Charlie could be the perfect addition to your family.
His adoption fee is $800 which includes desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms and is microchipped.
Charlie is in foster care in Chain Valley, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He’ll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he’s 5 to 6 months old.
