Meet Dixie, a sweet two-year-old greyhound who approaches the world with gentle curiosity and a thoughtful nature. She may take a little time to feel comfortable in new situations, but once she does, her quiet charm and warmth shine through. Dixie enjoys discovering new things at her own pace and blossoms when she feels safe and supported.

Dixie is wonderful with other dogs, both big and small, and would thrive with a calm canine buddy to share her day with. She’s also happy living as a solo dog, as long as her people provide reassurance, routine, and gentle encouragement. Although she starts off a bit timid, once she gets to know you, she becomes a loyal and affectionate companion.

Dixie would be best suited to a home with older, calm children who understand gentle handling and quiet interactions, as sudden movements or loud noises can startle her. She enjoys soft pats and relaxed company. Dixie is toilet-trained, manages stairs confidently, and settles well into home life. She’s comfortable spending some time on her own, particularly when another dog is nearby, and happily chooses between the lounge room or bedroom for a good night’s sleep.

A water-loving girl, Dixie enjoys splashing and playing when given the chance. She also has a sweet habit of positioning herself in the best spot for pats among her canine friends, soaking up quiet affection whenever it’s on offer.

Dixie would be a beautiful match for a patient, understanding home that can help her continue building confidence and feeling secure. In return, she offers gentle companionship, loyalty, and many tender moments to those who give her the time she needs to shine 🤍
