About Fig - 8 Week Old Cattle Dog X Staffy
Fig is a beautiful 8-week-old puppy with the most gentle and loving nature. From such a young age, she has already shown strong socialisation skills, having been raised around both cats and dogs and thriving in their company.
Fig is a naturally very calm and quiet girl, truly a little lover at heart. She has a soft, sweet personality. While other pups are busy playing, Fig is often happy to sit back and watch, taking everything in with her laid back and thoughtful nature.
She is especially affectionate and incredibly cuddly. Fig will often move from where she’s sleeping straight onto your lap or chest, as physical touch is definitely her love language. She loves being close to her people and feels most content when she’s right by your side. Fig will grow up to be smaller than her siblings but is expected to grow to be a small-to-medium sized dog. She enjoys having lots of toys to choose from and will happily entertain herself for hours, playing and exploring with her toys.
It would be a massive plus if Fig had another dog as a companion, but she is also quite happy just being wherever you are so someone who works from home or isn’t full time would be essential. Even at such a young age, she rarely cries when left alone, showing just how secure and independent she already is.
Fig will need to be inside when her family are home and should sleep indoors, at least until she’s fully grown, as she thrives on closeness and being a part of the family. She suitable for children 8 years and older, provided they are gentle and understand how to treat a young puppy.
With continued training, love and guidance, fig will grow into an incredible dog who will fit perfectly into any family.
Figs adoption fee is $800 which includes her desexing when she is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. She has been treated for fleas and worms and is microchipped.
Fig is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She’ll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when she’s 5 to 6 months old.
