About Bean
Meet Bean, an 11‑month‑old calico sweetheart with a tiny name and a big heart.
Bean is soft, friendly, and full of adorable quirks that make her impossible not to love.
She enjoys curling up beside you, following you around like a fuzzy little shadow, and spending her afternoons watching the world go by from a sunny windowsill.
She has just the right amount of playful energy-enough to make you smile, but not enough to redecorate your house without permission.
Bean loves toys, gentle pats, and being told she's pretty (which she absolutely is).
She's curious, affectionate, and always ready to brighten your day with her sweet expressions.
Bean is looking for a calm, loving home where she can offer companionship, quiet charm, and plenty of purrs.
If you're hoping for a friendly young cat who will make your home feel a little warmer and a lot happier, Bean might be the perfect match. 🐾💛
To book a meet and greet with Bean please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au .
Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
