About Nala
💕 Meet Nala
At just 1 year and 10 months old and 22.5kg of pure love. Nala the beautiful British Bulldog has a heart every bit as big as her personality.
Through no fault of her own, she is searching for a forever home where she can be someone’s devoted shadow and very best friend.
🏡 Home Life & Manners
Nala is fully toilet trained and has lovely manners around the home. While she isn’t crate trained and her experience with a doggy door is currently unknown, she has settled beautifully into family life.
She is a smart girl and very food motivated, so learning to use a doggy door would not be difficult for her with a little guidance and consistency.
She thrives on companionship and inclusion — if you move, she moves! Nala will happily follow you from room to room and plonk herself beside you wherever you are.
She adores sleeping in bed with her humans, though if she gets too warm she’ll move herself onto the cool tiles.
She may bark briefly when her human leaves the house, but she generally settles within a few minutes and is otherwise a quiet girl indoors.
🍽️ Food & Diet
Nala is very treat-motivated and proudly sits and shakes for a reward.
She is currently on Leaps & Bounds dry food, which she absolutely loves.
She enjoys her meals and would happily eat everyone else’s too if given the chance — so supervised feeding is important! She also has a daily dental chew and enjoys a few extra treats.
🎾 Play & Exercise
Nala absolutely loves her toys and will greet you at the door with her favourite one of the day. She enjoys playful bursts of energy followed by well-earned snoozes — classic bulldog style!
Short walks in the cool mornings or evenings (20–30 minutes) suit her perfectly.
As a brachycephalic breed, she does struggle with heat and must have access to air conditioning at all times. She can take a little while to cool down after exercise, so extra care is needed in warmer weather.
🐶 Social Butterfly
Nala is incredibly friendly with both humans and other dogs. She is currently in care with French Bulldogs and loves to play and chase with them, showing her fun and social nature.
She would be happy as an only dog if her humans are home often, but she would also thrive with a playful doggy companion.
She is good with children and has a true heart of gold — though she can forget she’s a solid little bulldozer! In her excitement she may accidentally knock over smaller children, so supervision around young kids is recommended.
🧼 Grooming & Care
Like most bulldogs, Nala will need regular cleaning of her facial folds and tail pocket, along with weekly brushing to keep her coat looking its best. She is easy to bath and enjoys a little pampering.
💓 Why You’ll Love Nala
Nala is a smart, affectionate, toy-loving girl who simply wants to love and be loved. She will sit at your feet, gaze into your eyes, and completely steal your heart.
If you’re searching for a loyal companion who wants to be included in every part of your life, Nala may just be your perfect match. 🐾💕

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
