Freya gained her name from the Norse goddess associated with love & beauty as that's what she brings to the table unconditional relentless love wrapped up in a beautifully bright-eyed package.
(Freya was also the goddess of fertility but rest assured our Freya definitely comes desexed).
Cheeky, Quirky, Cute and Carefree
This happy girl absolutely loves life and everything in it bringing nothing but pure joy wherever she goes.
You'll often find her snuggled up with her favourite soft toy (although on occasion her toys have been known to mysteriously explode though we have no proof Freya has anything to do with this) and when she can't find a soft toy to snuggle up to she will happily settle for some human interaction.
Whilst she does enjoy her time with her fellow canines, she is a little too full on for most (she's never heard of playing hard to get) and would be best suited as the only dog in the home just until she's refined her social skills.
If your home is in need of a little goddess energy, you're just one expression of interest away from some divine intervention and affection.

• All adoptions must go through our Council website - so head over there!
• Search for the animal you are interested in by typing their name or impound number in the search bar
• Read through their profile & click the red button which says 'Submit an Expression of Interest'
• Next, we'll reach out to you
• If all goes well, we'll discuss the next steps and a meet & greet!
With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
The adoption fee for cats covers F3 vaccination, health check, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
