Meet Maiko š¾
š¶ Personality:
Maiko is a quiet, gentle Kelpie with a calm and affectionate nature. He enjoys his walks, travels beautifully in the car and loves being included in daily life. He has good recall, walks nicely on lead and is very people-focused, preferring to stay close to his person. He gets along well with other dogs, cats and even guinea fowl (not tested with other poultry). Like most Kelpies, he will try to work cattle if they are nearby, so he is best suited to a home that understands working breeds. Maiko is a relaxed boy who bonds closely with his person.
š Training:
Maiko is well-mannered and easy to live with. He settles well in his crate, is very clean and only barks if something is bothering him. He has reliable recall and is good on lead. He travels calmly and happily jumps into the vehicle whenever itās time to go.
He requires secure fencing/containment.
š Perfect Home:
Maiko would suit a quiet rural or small acreage home where he can be close to his person during the day. A securely fenced yard or a working dog kennel would be a secure crate for him. He is looking for a calm home where he can be a loyal, constant companion and part of everyday life. His foster carer says he'd make a wonderful friend & companion to someone who is retired.

~I will need additional vet work in my life time such as follow up
vaccinations etc, is this a problem?
~I will also need flea and worm treatments to keep me at my
optimum health, are you prepared for that?
~I've had a diet since being at the rescue of quality biscuits, can you guarantee to continue my current diet?
~ I am a good 10-20 years commitment are you 100% ready to
give me a home?

~A yard check or photographic proof of secure fencing, shelter & sleeping areas will be required.
~Written agreement is required by your landlord/real estate for rental properties. A rates notice is required for homeowners.
~A vet reference may be required.
