About DJ
TO THE QUIET, LOVING HOME DJ HAS BEEN DREAMING OF
If you're looking for a gentle giant, a steadfast companion, and a truly peaceful soul, your search ends here. Meet DJ.
This big, beautiful boy has turned his past troubles into a heart full of gratitude. DJ isn't just looking for an owner – he's looking for his person, his family, and his safe place to call home.
DJ's Perfect Personality:
· A Gentle Shadow: DJ is the definition of a loyal companion. He'll follow you quietly from room to room, offering calm companionship.
· The Strong, Silent Type: DJ doesn't bark. At all. He might have the occasional quiet "chat" to tell you about his day, but his default setting is serene silence.
· A Heart of Gold: He is wonderfully gentle with people, cats and children. Great with other dogs while walking and at beach but at home prefers to be King of the Castle prefering his humans to himself.
· Water Baby: This boy loves water! Whether it's a hose, a dam, or bath time, getting wet is a joy for him, making grooming a breeze. He also adores a good brush through his lovely thick coat.
· A Thoughtful Diner: Dj eats slowly and prefers to have someone nearby for company during meals. He's not in a rush for anything but love.
At 6 years old, DJ is desexed, fully immunised, and all set for his next chapter. He's past the puppy chaos and settled into the wonderful, loyal maturity of a dog who knows how precious a loving home is.
DJ isn't asking for much – just a sofa to share, a yard to explore, and a family to adore. He has so much love to give and is ready to pour it all into his forever people.
Could your home be DJ's happy ending?

ADFC house our dogs with volunteer foster carers in private homes.

We then have an opportunity to discover their traits and personalities, likes and dislikes, and which dog may suit your family dynamics.
We offer a 14 day trial - $50 deposit. If the dog doesn't fit with your family, they are returned to us and deposit refunded.
To arrange a meet and greet with one of our dogs please send us a message.
The committee and carers of ADFC are all volunteers, so please be patient if we don't answer your enquiry straight away.
