About Zara
Meet Zara, a lovely purebred Cocker Spaniel seeking a special home where she can rediscover the joys of love and companionship. At approximately two years old, Zara is eager to start a new chapter in her life as a cherished family member. Having spent much of her life in less-than-ideal conditions, she will need a family that can offer her the patience and understanding necessary for her to flourish.
Zara will need someone who is familiar with PTSD in dogs as she has come from a large breeding farm, she is going to take a lot of time, patience and love.
Her ideal home is calm and quiet, with no young children or other pets. Loud noises and fast-paced environments can overwhelm Zara, so a structured routine and serene surroundings are crucial for her adjustment. While she may startle at unfamiliar sounds and experiences, Zara's sense of trust will grow with gentle, reassuring support.
Her health is generally good, though she does have a grade 2 heart murmur, which is typically mild and manageable. With proper care, Zara can lead a happy life, although regular checkups are wise as she ages. Zara's new family will need to be knowledgeable about Cocker Spaniels and committed to providing consistent love. She's discovered the delight of grass and healthy meals, so it's an ideal time to introduce her to a world filled with comfort and safety.
Zara's journey is just beginning, and with the right guidance, she is poised to thrive and shine as a loyal and loving companion. If you have experience with Cocker Spaniels, and patience, Zara could be your gentle-hearted friend.
