Please Note: You’ll only be able to meet Meeka if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
My Ideal Home:
• Regular strolls, trips to the park or beach & playtime in the backyard. I am not an overly energetic girl so will not require daily exercise, I would much rather be laying on the lounge.
• I want to be part of the family indoors — not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing is essential to keep me safe.
• Most importantly, I’m looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• I would like to be the only dog at home; I do not appreciate sharing my space with them off lead. I am GREAT meeting & walking past other dogs whilst on leash out & about (as long as they are social and not reactive) but not suitable for dog parks etc
• I am not suited to homes with cats or small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, or ducks as I may find them fun to chase
My Paw-some Perks:
• Snuggle pot, I love nothing more than laying at your feet / next to you / on you for all the belly rubs
• Lounge lizard
• I know how to sit
• I am a happy lady with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I’m excited.
• I will get a little excited & do an excited zoomie when first greeting you but I am a generally calm & a well mannered girl
• I do not appear to be a stressy girl at all and will happily snooze the day away whilst you are out
• A super sweet lady <3
• I walk well on lead - I will pull initially when I am excited or wanting to get to something but other than that I just stroll along next to you
• I’m gentle and placid in nature, and I’ve had some basic obedience training — I am generally a well-mannered lady.
Please note that adoption applications can only be approved if you’re able to visit the shelter to meet Meeka in person.
Medical notes
Mild skin irritation and redness. No treatment required at this stage. Treatment may be required if skin becomes irritated due to environmental or food changes.
Adoption details
All adoptions are through an application process.
You will find the link to the online application form in each animal’s profile.
Preferred applicants will be phoned to book an appointment to meet the dog or cat.
Once the adoption has been finalised, unsuccessful applicants will be notified via email.
