Meet Georgie, an adorable Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and curiosity. At approximately three years old, this charming little guy is ready to find a new family who will provide him with the love and security he deserves. Georgie's chunky size, weighing in at around 8 kgs, makes him the perfect companion for those who adore the spunky and spirited nature of small dogs.
His person passed away and he was left at the house by himself and two cats for months with a neighbour feeding them, so he’s quite safe right now but desperate for love. He needs to sleep close to you and be near you. His heart is still recovering. He would love a doggie friend.
Despite his initial shyness, Georgie quickly warms up to new friends, revealing his affectionate and sweet personality. He's a people lover who enjoys nothing more than being close to someone he trusts. Georgie is great with kids and friendly with other dogs and cats, making him an ideal addition to a variety of family dynamics. His house training means he's well-mannered inside, and he's ready to share his life with those who open their hearts to him.
Georgie loves exploring his environment and would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced yard where he can safely enjoy some outdoor playtime. Currently located in Stafford Heights, Georgie is desexed, chipped, vaccinated, and wormed, meaning he's all set to begin his new life with you.
His adoption fee is $695 — a small price for the immense joy and affection he'll bring into your life. If you're ready to open your home to a shy yet affectionate sweetheart who's eager to be cherished, Georgie is waiting to become your loyal companion.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee (per dog) . This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
